VACANCY • Institutional Fundraiser (temporary/freelance)

Het Actiefonds is hiring an institutional fundraiser — maternity leave cover (April–September 2023). Join us on a journey towards a just and sustainable world.

 

General information

Het Actiefonds is a unique and independent fund that has been supporting social movements and grassroots activists for over 50 years. We provide financial support for protests, demonstrations, strikes and other forms of direct action aimed at combating exploitation, climate change and social and economic injustices.

To cover a maternity leave, we are hiring a (temporary/freelance) institutional fundraiser for 10-16 hours per week, starting from April until the end of September 2023.

About the position
You will be responsible for efficient fundraising strategy implementation, building new and managing existing donor relationships and engaging in relevant donor networks.

Staff at Het Actiefonds is non-hierarchical and self-managing, meaning that you are expected to assume responsibility for your own tasks and actively contribute to the organizational policy within a small team of 4 professionals. You will be working alongside a marketeer/individual fundraiser, a financial and office manager and a communications coordinator.

Start Date: April 2023

End Date: September 2023

 

Your responsibilities

  • Ensure effective implementation of the fundraising strategy
  • Develop new donor relationships and maintain and manage existing institutional relationships including donor compliance
  • Actively participate in relevant networks (online and offline)
  • Donor identification and outreach
  • Proactively monitor and respond to funding opportunities

Your profile

  • Affinity with activism
  • 3+ years of experience with institutional fundraising
  • Experience in relationship-building with institutional partners

Fluency in English is required. Working proficiency in Dutch is preferred.
